Yes. Passwords are made in your browser with its cryptographic random number generator and are never sent, stored or logged.
How long should my password be?
At least 16 characters for important accounts. Length adds more strength than symbols do.
What does “avoid look-alike characters” do?
It leaves out characters that are easy to mix up, such as I, l, 1, O, 0 and o, which helps when you have to type the password by hand.
