Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser with the same encoders Google’s Squoosh uses, so your images never leave your device.
How much smaller will my images get?
Photos usually shrink by 40–80%. Images that are already well compressed may barely change; Utilo keeps the original when it can’t make it smaller.
Why choose WebP?
WebP files are often 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality and every modern browser shows them. Keep the original format for apps that don’t support WebP.
Does compressing PNG lose quality?
No. PNG files are optimized without losing any detail. For much bigger savings on photos saved as PNG, convert them to WebP.
